The expanded rental program through MTN Gear will allow the Seattle community to lend their own gear further increasing the types of outdoor gear available.

How the Lend to Own Program℠ Works
MTN Gear is equipping three passionate outdoor enthusiasts in the Seattle community with gear. These individuals will then rent out the gear through MTN Gear and GeerGarage’s online rental platform, earning income with each rental. A portion of the rental fees will go towards repaying the initial cost of the gear, therefore “vesting” their ownership of the item(s).
Once the cost of the equipment is fully recouped, ownership is officially given to that lender ensuring long-term access to the quality gear for the community.
This innovative approach not only increases the availability of outdoor gear rentals in Seattle but also fosters a sense of community and shared responsibility for responsible outdoor recreation. The rental experience on GeerGarage’s platform is user-friendly and empowers community members to explore the outdoors responsibly.
